roses among psychos
I was numb
frozen,
unseeing,
unfeeling,
My hand came away from me
only half of me registers
that it’s covered in
thick , potent, coppery….
The thorns were once green
and its petals have only become darker
It falls from my grasp
thuds against the earth
splashes red across the frost
My stomach burns
My head fills with
giddy bliss
It’s sick
I feel alive again
