twelve o'clock
Clockwork,
I am this,
the multiple faces
of a watch
are
my own faces.
They unfurl
by the hour,
dark to light
light to not.
Winding
and rewinding
my clock does not stop.
Hands,
little and large are
forever grasping,
forever wondering,
wandering
my hourly minds.
Midnight will strike
one thousand times
before I know
which I is I.
