lonesome
after you left
a piece of my heart
booked a flight across the sea
long distance was never my style
daily chats became biweekly check-ins
waking up became a burden, all i could do
was think of how life would be if you were talking
to me
a cheesy smile plastered on my face
my worries
suddenly were miniscule
as i had not a care in the world
now i am sitting in my room
reminiscing on what used to be
and
thinking about what i could have done
( or not done )
to have prevented
this

Someone forgetting about you is painful. You wonder if you caused this, or if it was a problem with them.
