Smouldering but stagnant
It sits in my stomach
Solid and scorching
Sweltering and scourging
Stupefied but spiteful
I sputter and I stutter
Screaming what I stifle
Stammering what I smother
Sour sludge and sluggish
Sickly slovenly slime
It’s swimming in my stomach
It’s sleeping in my mind
Smoky smoggy soot
Solidified and stubborn
Soaking up my sanity
I scutter and I shudder
Suicide and sadness
The sacrosanct sins
I assure you succumbing is
Simpler
Than trying to resist.
