I'm Sorry Mom
I wish nothing more than to give my mom a daughter bathed in happiness
Whos spine is made of joy and feet walk with pride
Whos tears flow into a shining river instead of a black lagoon
Someone who has happiness seeping from every joint in her body
Not someone who falls apart as easily as a house of cards with one simple blow
Not someone who breaks into a million pieces like a sliver of glass, unable to be put back together
Not someone who covers the mirrors with dirty towels so she doesn’t have to face herself
It’s what she deserves
It’s what I deserve
