Impossible
The day before I had trudged to school,
Failed a math quiz,
Spent the little bit of change I could find in between the cracks of my old 2001 Honda Civic
On an iced caramel macchiato,
Was a normal pimple-faced, broke teenager.
Now I think as rationally as a president,
Wear a business dress,
Have to pay never ending stacks of bills lodged in the mailbox of a new white fence, red brick home.
Worrying about what my kids are doing,
As a 40 year old, busy mom.
