I Am Not A Statistic
"It's an...alternative school."
"No, no, it's just that there is much less focus on grades."
I know I'm a problem kid.
I f*** up too much, too often.
I know I'm on the deliquent path.
I do bad things.
But all you ever do is blame my issues on mental illness.
"Oh, it's just your impulsivity from depression coming out."
*whispered to my principal by my mom last year* "Sir, she has anxiety, depression, and PTSD. She acts out sometimes because of that."
I'm not a diagnosis.
I'm not a statistic.
I am NOT my illness.
I do stupid s*** because I LIKE it.
I like the rush of adrenaline.
I like the danger.
Not because I'm f***ed-up in my head.
