Beef Enchiladas
Beef Enchiladas; tortillas folded across
Corners touching; dripping in sauce
Heated in a pan; set aside
Seaming and scorching in a steady stride
Sprinkled with cheese
Soft and cheddary; as they please
The scents and taste
The enchiladas make
Slightly spicy, tinting
Along with a hinting
Textured, crunchy flavor
Allowing me to savor
The meat, sizzled along
The pan, patted down among
Red, meaty slices; raw tothe taste
Meant as a waste
Needed to be sanitized
The brown coating soon settled
Among the pan; hot as metal
Draped with seasoning
White, flaky powder; reasoning
Among the food
Which tastes good
After I eat, some leftovers remain
In the tray, in which cheese and sauce stain
To be saved for another day
