My Little Angel
One look at the boy, with his cute little toy,
I knew in my heart, he would be smart.
His blue eyes, widening with all the cries,
Little tiny hands, covered in mittens made by Anne’s.
I wish I could believe, that it is wrong to leave;
There is no other choice, he will be happy with the other boys.
Everyone knows I can’t be a good mother, even my own brother;
Who had been there for me, for all of eternity?
My sweet child, you must not be wild
Like I was, because
You must be brave little one, but don’t forget to have fun.
Always remember, you were born in December
and with all the love in my heart.
