Narrowly Escaping

The flag raised.
An enemy approached,
propelling itself forward with
its fins. Squinting,
pulsating my tentacles up and down,
I released my defense...
The water clouded with ink. Distressed,
I raced to the depths of my solitary home,
narrowly escaping.
