Dancing in the rain
Capering in the fields,
Like a dandelion blowing in the breeze
Over the rooftops;
A bird
Spreading its vast wings proudly
Soaring through the air.
Cutting through the darkness,
A speedboat through the water
Leaving frothy white in its wake.
Hope floats through the air,
Light as a feather
Bright as the sun
Glittering in the utter darkness of space.
But unlike the sun
No black hole can swallow it up
No amount of darkness can overwhelm it.
Hope hides behind the shadow
Of hardship
One ubiquitous presence
Intangible but incredibly palpable.
Hope is awarded
Only to the accepting
To those willing to embrace it
With arms thrown open.
Hope doesn’t wait out the tempest;
It frolics amidst the chaos
For hope lingers in the air
And dances in the breeze.

I want people to know that there is always light in the darkest of days, and if you follow that light, you will find your way. I hope people realize that they aren't alone even when there is no one around for them; hope lingers everywhere, and if you can't find it, it will find you.
