Yet...
She was being taken away from the pain,
Yet she felt like she was falling apart.
They were telling her she was safe,
Yet she was feeling like she was being watched.
She is surrounded by people,
Yet she feels alone.
People are talking to her,
Yet she does not hear a word.
She feels so protective,
Yet she should be the one being protected.
She feels like the adult,
Yet she is the child.
She was the one being hurt,
Yet they were playing the victim.
They told her she had a chance to live,
Yet she feels like she is dying inside.
They told her she would benefit without her,
And for once they were right.
She learned how to be woman,
Yet she was not there.
God told her she would be okay,
And for once she believed it.
Her heart finally felt free,
With God in who she confides.
She goes to church every sunday,
And there, it is only then when she feels safe.
She has realized she is loved,
Yet she still feels incomplete.
