I raise my hand
My teacher scans the room
No other hands in sight
I raise my hand higher
The teacher calls on someone else
Am I invisible?
I run to catch up with a girl I like
I say her name
She doesn't respond
I say her name again softly
She turns to talk to her friend
Does she even see me?
Am I invisible?
I stop and I feel a wave of darkness wash over me
I am not noticed
I never was
I never am
I never will be
I'm invisible
