The Gift of Flight
She wanted to fly,
fly higher than the sky.
But not too high,
for she might cry.
She wanted to flee,
somewhere free,
free of judgement,
and free of pain.
She wanted to see,
see those who loved her,
see those who have suffered,
see her future,
that was all too much.
So she jumped.
Jumped higher and higher.
Until, she flew.
Not too long,
but just enough,
so that she knew,
that she flew.

I wasn't really inspired by anything really. But I suppose, one day it just popped up. I knew that I couldn't let my thoughts and stories just breeze by. So I decided to write it down. Then typed it. But in a sense, I guess there was something that caused this to come up in my head...right?
