The Ocean's Constable
Faint echos of his songs are faintly heard from afar.
He’s a mysterious creature, roaming
the deep blue universe.
He inches
towards the
bright blue.
He vaguely
touches the thin barrier
between his world and ours.
Crystal water grazes his fins.
Bursting water violently explodes from his blowhole.
He uses his mighty tail to form a shower of chilled sprinkles.
He’s a considerate colossus, a peaceful creature, a whale of sorts;
he rules the ocean kingdom, patrolling the waters,
enforcing harmony on the marine planet.
Then harpoons tear his thick skin.
Death defeats him.
Now, he’s a skeleton.
