Rose Petals
The rain dripped, racing down the succulent rose petal
Bright and vibrant, it stood standing
Stretched high, with the towering green stem,
It’s head held high,
Confident and beautiful
Thunder rumbles across the dusk sky
Lightning strikes once more
The grass begins to sway in the wind
Closely towards the fertile ground
The ground, damp with joy
The rose satisfied in the storm
Red with power
Red with love
The rose petals hugged each other tightly
As the rain once again began to fall
