Back to Me
I waived goodbye to you with a smile at my lips, then quickly turned around so you wouldn’t see a trace of me trying my best not to cry - at the end I wiped the tears on my face.
I know I need to be brave
because you are no longer nearby.
People all look cold, and I got
panic counting the days till you again be close by.
You went onto your journey without a look back,
didn’t see that behind you I held my palms together,
wishing that
Please do not forget the love we pledged.
I wait everyday,
dressing myself up incase you come back.
My hair grew to my waist,
but where are you?
“The moment my hair grows to my waist,
young man will you marry me.
By the time I pin my hair up,
you promise to come with the red vein.
I fear that when my hair goes to my waist,
you will love another person.
By the time I pin my hair up,
I only see another She smiling in his embrace”
Time without you is like a morbid battle.
Like the moon abandoned the stars and hided her dazzle,
like being tied to a block in a fire and cannot get myself unravelled.
like the flowers dropped and left only the branches with stings.
They tell me to move on,
but
do you see that I am still waiting
for you to come back?
