Its whats on the inside that counts
They laugh and taunt me,
Degrade and insult me.
I dont know why.
I smie through it,
I'm polite to them,
I show no disrespect,
Then why do they look at me like this?
I dont know why.
I'm no better than them,
I'm no worse,
We are equal,
Then why do they treat me like this?
I dont know.
It never makes sense,
Until i look into the mirror and realise,
My face is clean,
My smiles are real,
and my happiness is pure,
I finally know why.
Its whats on the outside that counts
Because they all have nothing on the inside.
