Faded
City lights and sunsets
Lost in a concrete haze
Faded eyes watch faded skies
From out a faded gaze
And that faded gaze sees past the smog
And through an endlessly faded fog
And faded sights meet fantasies
Bright and young and new
Faded eyes become alive again
For faded eyes see through

For me, this poem is about seeing the good in life when things are otherwise rough. No matter how faded you may feel inside, there's always something beautiful to see in life.
