Shattered
the two columns within in me have shattered
The hearth that burns within has been extinguished
The ones who love me
Who are supposed to love me
Now make me feel betrayed
Choked down tears gurgle in my throat
A shattered relationship confirmed
The perfect family I falsely imagined is gone
At the apex of the mountain
I gaze down and close my eyes
But when those eyes open
The fire that has extinguished is back
Relentless passion driving me forward
Passion that cannot be stopped.
