Quickest Match Ever
I shuffle through my small pocket
picking out a bright yellow tennis ball.
The serve whistle sounds
and I throw up the bright sphere and
I strike it with my racket.
It flies straight
for my opponent.
My head races
He hits the ball,
it comes back to me really fast.
I lurch at the ball and hit it softly over the net.
coming up to the net and hits it hard straight at my feet.
I ran towards the ball and hit a fierce upper hand.
He stumbles for it and misses it.
I simmer in relief
Pure victory
