I can’t decide which is worse;
being in love at 3 am
or just being awake

Remember when the
night was cold, flowing
through my open window

Remember the smell of rain,
your cologne lingers,
everywhere
laced through my sheets,
my hair

Wrapped in blankets,
feet tied together

Your laugh
ending with that beautiful,
beautiful smile
a smile that reached your eyes
to make the slightest crinkles
by your brown eyes

Tight holds, cold sides
do you remember?
when “I miss you” was
used till tomorrow
