The Last Year
There is no way to describe
The feeling of senior year
The pressure is like a boulder
But I feel as free as a bird.
I’m ready to go to college but
Not completely ready to leave high school.
I’m ready to say hello to new life
But not ready to say goodbye to friends.
May is here now.
And the 23rd is approaching fast,
Everything is falling into place
But my mind is scattered
Like an unfinished puzzle.
Now it’s time to sit back and
Watch the picture of my future fall into place.
Stop worrying and finding all the right pieces to complete my puzzle,
It’s too hard…
Take it slow because
The puzzle is already solved.
