Never ending
It’s a routine to wake up and get through the day then fall apart at night.
That’s how her life goes.
That smile of hers is out when she's around others.
But when she’s hidden in her room she falls apart.
All the pain and sadness overwhelms her at night,
When she’s lying awake and the tears fall down her cheeks.
She can’t stop it.
The feelings that are taking control.
She curls in a ball, sobbing as she loses herself in the madness she calls her life.
But during the day she’s kind of alright,
Getting sucked into her books and being surrounded by her few friends.
She keeps telling herself,
“I’ll make it through the day.”
“Stay strong till I get home.”
“I’ll be alright.”
Then it happens all over again.
Day by day.
