The Rest of Nature Doesn't Destroy
like the leaf
that trembles in the wind
buffeted by the storm
never ceasing
always shaking
always cowering
always moving
never settling
can never stop
can never rest
will never find a home
all because of a force
our little leaf
cannot control
maybe we
are like the leaf:
grovelling in fear
of the unknown forces
acting around us
maybe the leaf
is like us:
though it never settles
it belongs
the world is it’s home
but the leaf
knows not how to destroy
and that is the difference
