The Perfect Cast

Here I sit waiting for a fish
Knowing tonight it might be the main dish
Catching the big fish is my biggest wish
As I think about coating the fish in the butter dish
I make the perfect cast
As I reel my other pole in very fast
Fishing is tiring and I am gassed
Hopefully my energy will outlast
As I sit and wait
I hope I used the right bait
Hopefully this fish will be of great weight
But the sun is setting… maybe it is too late
I set the hook
And I take a look
I can’t believe it, I have finally caught a snook!
