I know a boy
I know a boy
Whose heart was vulnerable
And barely beating
He met a girl
With sharp shards that
Left wounds on those who got near
But he didn’t care
Because she wanted him there
He minded the scars
Left on his soul
By the broken girl
She wore a deceiving smile
To draw people to her
Like bees to honey
Unknowingly meeting their breaking point
She used to be a friend of mine
Now she’s a lesson well learned
Of deluded appearances and
Empty words
And how not to
Believe everything
And trust so easily
