Where I am From
From scorching summer days, dirty uniform.
Chill lake water and fish you catch for days.
Screaming loud leaving neighbors upset.
I'm from Friday night lights, brutal pain I love.
Winning games and losing State Championships.
Playing for the school and the brothers I make.
I’m from 7:20 pm on February 6, 2011,
screaming at the television, celebrating in Green Bay.
From a family tradition that had begun.
I’m from 7:00 in the morning everyday.
Eyes open, less energy than the day before.
From perseverance everyday.
I’m from baiting my hook, having worm cuts over
Waiting for a monster to take my bobber.
From fish stories never true.
