To my crush what I say……..
May be you live a life better than mine.
You might not notice me
Or know me at all.
But I know you better than you know me.
Not that you are coming on my way,
But a passerby with whom I would like to walk a little way.
I will not ask why you steal away your glance,
It is after all your right to see the world the way you want.
I will not even ask why you weren’t there
When I really wished you were there
Never will I stop taking quick glances at you
‘cause you never seem to stop coming in my horopter.
I wish you were a character in a book
To which I could go back to when I wanted to meet you again,
Without the slightest feeling that you might be someone else’s.
Might be this is my very last poem as a teenager
Probably I won’t even think of you when I am not a teen.
That is why I dedicate it to you, my dear teen crush,
Though I’ll never have the courage to go up and say it to you.
It is not that, crushes end with teen age.
But, I would definitely love to cherish you as the last crush of my teen.
Not a crush again in one’s life is felt like a teenage crush.
