13 Realizations
I am in a park.
It is raining.
The sky is too gray
And the beauty has gone away from the earth.
Disappeared.
And I realize something:
1. Life is miserable.
Tears drip from my sorry eyes.
I sit down on a bench.
It is wet.
I am sobbing.
Life is horrible.
2. Bad things always happen to me.
I quickly stand up.
My pants are wet.
I am by myself,
All alone.
3. I will always be alone.
I hate myself.
I hate the world.
4. The world is full of terrible things.
I walk around the park.
I turn my head.
I am tired...
Tired of life.
A woman and her child are holding hands.
They are happy.
5. I will never be happy.
But then I see something else:
Something spectacular.
Lights in the sky,
And my heart.
It’s beautiful.
It’s hopeful.
It makes me want to jump up and down.
6. One can be happy.
I love it so much.
I wish it was mine,
Shining bright.
A rainbow
Dripping from the sky
Wiping my tears away
Drip, drip, drip like the rainbow.
7. Some things are beautiful.
And I walk around,
My eyes, glued to the saturated happiness
And I smile.
8. A day can change from bad to good.
And things seem better now.
I am intrigued by life
I walk out of my trance.
Things are better now.
9. Sometimes you have to be happy.
A child and her mother walk together.
They are happy.
10. I am happy.
I come across the bench.
I smile, wiping the water off with my poncho.
11. The world needs a little bit of love.
I am in a park.
It has stopped raining.
I have two more realizations:
12. Today was a good day
and...
13. Tomorrow will be even better.

I wrote this when I was in a bad mood, and I turned it into something good. I hope you find it inspiring, as I intended it to be that way!
