inside
When the world is
a little too loud,
you have to find
somewhere to hide.
Crawl inside yourself
Keep yourself safe
How can you hurt
yourself?
Close your
eyes; see
safety.
Emptiness.
Silence.
Okay.
Still breathing.
Still here.
Still.
But.
All it takes
is one quiet
thought; which
is no longer quiet
To break your shield
Let your guard down
Destroy
the barrier.
Open.
Unsafe.
Exposed.
Can't go out.
Can't stay in.
Can't.
Trapped
Stuck between
your mind and
the world.
Wait.
There is an
escape.
A way out
of yourself.
It looks like
a big red
stop sign.
No in.
No out.
Just an
end.
