Pizza: A Generational Connection

The old wooden tables, once dormant, now spring to life as a crowd gathers.
Pizza fuels this eventful night, two distant time-periods united as one.
My friends and I take a seat, setting down the warm boxes of pizza.
Flash back to the past, and the Italian mobsters settled.
A century passed, but the main courses still match.
No matter the occasion, a pizza will do,
melted mounds of mozzarella
seemingly solve any situation.
Pizza stands the test of time,
providing energy,
promoting fun.
Pungent,
practical,
pizza.
