August 13th
The crackling fire reflects his beating hearts desire,
It illuminates off his face and soul.
The flames are hot with passion
no words but the silent screams are much dire.
The embers are where his secrets lie
they live deep within his eyes.
The coals are buried beneath the light
but deep inside they shine so bright.
Smoke floats to the sky
like tears drip from his eyes.
His mouth quivers like the stars that shimmer
The night ending while the fire grows dimmer.
His pleads are burning
his thoughts are yearning
he feels nervous and scared
yet his heart still beats with desire.
