"Winter Morning"
I wake up to glistening snow
Putting on layers of clothes,
My puppy waking up waiting
To disappear into the snow.
She jumps in excitement
Grabbing her leash
And tugging me out the door,
Pulling my shoulder
To go walk into the cold.
When I open the door
She pushes me aside
To run down the stairs like a wild boar.
To flights of stairs are a hassle
When you have 5 pounds
Holding you down.
Then we are at the bottom door
Brushing the glistening snow off our boots.

In the winter I always wake up in the morning and walk my dog, Aspen. We walk out the door and then we go where ever we want. This is what inspired me to write this peice.
