trying to recover
going through the motions
sometimes using too much caution
proceed with care
don’t take the dare
that the disorder is whispering in your ear
because logic is reminding you
that death is near
if you keep up with the life you’ve been living
and wasting so much time, solely giving
filling others cups
and ending up
in beds that are not my own
filled with feelings of being alone
I’ve wasted so much time
with a head full of lead
I’ve wasted so much time
wishing I was dead
and now I’m glad
I’m not as sad
finding fewer reasons
to continue to give
And hoarding up reasons
to continue to live

I'm currently struggling with an eating disorder and trying so hard to recover. It's been quite the journey and i'm finally starting to recognize my progress.
