I thought
Will I ever learn?
You were genuine.
You had honor and respect.
You were classy.
Well...I thought.
I was a victim...
but I stayed.
A spring of
emotion,
effort,
pain.
An abusive relationship-
and you.
You apologized,
said “It was a pitfall,”
said you “had to have me.”
Others weren’t happy,
they said you were
no
exception,
said that you would
only
mean
death
for me.
Not long after,
that was confirmed.
Peace--to mourning.
Happy--to tragedy.
“Rest in peace”
you said,
with a
teardrop,
and a
murder,
but
no pain
in the
loss.
