Synesthesia
The music rang around the room
a loud childish tune
to me like a bright green
the blend of bright and childish yellow
and the slight blue of a steady stream of sound
The next song
a melodic purple
a blue still the same
with a red of emotion
the words spoke to me
While listening the colors dance through my head
reds and greens and browns
all sorts,
as the choir sang
the colors molded
and in the end of the concert
I’m left with the colors
the beautiful picture
that music paints in my head
