I Love The Summer
I love the Summer
I love the Summer how the wind
blows through an ancient willow,
breaking it’s stillness with the
Warm breeze of a silent day.
I love the Summer for bringing
back the memories of joy, fun and hope
Sitting in the back of your mind like
that young family at church that
Nobody really knows, but they seem
Nice enof.
I love the Summer for always bringing
the warm sun that shines above us, watching us,
Protecting us, seeming like it will never go away...
But when the sun does go away blackened clouds
Roll in from the west creating a dark canvas of
mournful memories of past days that seem
To recollect over and over, constantly
churning the sorrow left for days, months, years
Washing away the good as I listen and hope
For it to end
until finally the rain stops
and that haze fades
Within the newly conceived light that
Brings back those memories and the warm breeze that
Reminds me why I love summer...
