Wandering for Love

Mingled with fire and ice
my feelings seem
between worlds that are real
and realms that are fantasy
I live.
I live
and where I go and
where I came I cannot say,
as summer winds turn the leaf
or cold easterlies lay flat the grounds to white.
All thoughts of love seem absolute
but become fray
as nothing lasts in borrowed time,
or makes the heart change the mind
like ice and fire mingled;
love reaches out confused at what it tries
to grasp.
