Laws of Mercy
There she is,
Defiant till the end,
She demands the law,
But she is blind,
Is there anyone willing to balance
the scales? No,
They try to tip it to their side,
Her sword sturdy in her hand,
Waiting to deliver the punishment,
However, another stops it
Before it is too late,
Dressed in white, the other
takes the toll,
Now, the other sets the terms,
But, the punishment is paid in full,
Leaving nothing but love and devotion.
