I Think, Therefore I Am
I believe in one God
The world is an immense place
The Father Almighty
Formed over billions of years
Maker of heaven and earth
The universe is still ever reaching and expanding into the void
Stars hang in the distance, light-years away
While intricate snowflakes dance in a winter breeze
And trees harbor green leaves.
None of these works are from the hands of man.
How could something like this be forged?
How could anyone imagine such creation?
How could someone leave such creation to its own devices?
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
Maybe, the infinite universe is rather small in the eyes of God-- maybe it’s only a meter wide.
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
