Griffin
Imagine holding a piece of broken glass. It has jagged, rough, and sharp edges. It is still just as beautiful as glass that isn't broken. Griffin was like a piece of glass. He was always terrified of everything in sight. He had a rough life as a puppy. His owners treated him unethically. Griffin was always kind to everyone. He longed for my love. I longed for his love. He was my companion for life. It was hard to see his long, constant pain. He died because of it. His pain was caused by his long, internal depression.

This poem is a tribute to my dog Griffin. He died around 5 years ago. He was the best dog anyone could have ever imagined.
