Things I Will Never Forget
Her amber aura silently casts shadows on my walls
unable to breathe because she believes
that we are suspended in this state of being
for all of eternity
she is the night sky
and if I look up at the right time
I can hear it speak
“I love you”
Deep Atlantic blue
skies painted with a dark hue
casting heavy shadows over you
yet still I exclaim
I find it hard to explain
but when I look out at the ocean
I am no longer in control of my own emotions
Rainy day
when I was young, I used to rollerskate in the rain
up and down around the block
it seemed that world would never stop
it was raining when the ambulance came
to see my hero taken away
those winter days were just decay
from the echos of the past
nothing really ever lasts
