December Sky
Tear Stained cheeks point upwards,
her head tilts in despair.
Cold walks on crooked paths.
Sidewalks broke, chipped, and wrecked.
Up above, clouds fill the void.
Cold air and lost dreams.
This girl is alone, alone, alone.
Depression, aggression.
Long winter months with cold winds.
Lost dreams and forgotten goals.
Walks in the crisp dark mornings.
She looks up at the calming sky.
Dark, light and cloudy.
Life is just a paradox.
