Ode to Dreams
Gracious imaginary worlds.
A new place every night.
Sweet bliss.
The risk and thrill but no pain.
Stars superior and bones below.
Thousands of dreams pass through me.
My mind is in a trance, a deep sleep.
Motionless body with a semi-conscious mind.
Those dreams ruin me.
Full of fake love.
Full of fake hope.
Full of fake memories that I wish were real.
Real, real, real.
Your pink cheeks.
Long, fluttering eyelashes.
Pale, but freckled skin.
Sleepy and slow breaths.
How can one look so holy in such a state?
Hopeless things that will never be.
I’d rather lie unconscious,
than fill my mind of you.
