An Exchange of Feelings

First we were strangers
that passed through in school hallways
and by chance we met.
Messages and calls
you slowly crept in my heart
as we became friends.
Love blossomed in time
but you never felt the same
feelings kept hidden.
A burst of courage
and I crossed over the line
my world had to shift.
