FRIENDSHIP

I was left all alone
No one was there to hold my hand,
I stared at the stars and the moon
Neither they lent their hands;
I walked for miles and miles,
And suddenly felt that -
Someone was following me for a long time,
From where I started till where I stopped;
She is my best friend till today
Who never leaves me alone,
When I cry-she cries,
And when I smile-she smiles;
She is my shadow-
Who always tags along with me,
But I feel so sorry for her,
As she'll have to die along with me,
The very day I'll die.

I composed this poem on 2nd August, 2015, i.e., on friendship day. I think this piece of my work will help people realize that they are never alone. They always have someone to share their deep secrets and feelings.
