The Map
My life is like a map.
I have many paths I can take.
Some lead to forests,
Full of different trails and choices
For me to follow.
Some I travel many times,
Some are undiscovered,
Travelled by none but me,
Some lead to treasures,
Like a treasure map.
Some lead to traps,
Unmarked with any
Key or legend.
So in a way,
As X marks the spot
On a map,
I have
An X on me.
Because that's my treasure,
Myself.
I'm still working on
Finding
Me.
This is straight up honesty; one of my favorite, simplest, pieces. When I reread it, it gives me hope. I just got to jump on the path and follow the map. Hope you like!
