A hot cup of sunset
Bring me the sunset in a cup
So that I may taste all the colors
experience the vibrance
and feel its warmth melt into my soul.
I wish to hold the sky in my hand,
and watch as the watercolors of purples and pinks
swirl into a summer orange,
making the grey winter sky
appear beautiful without trying to be.
I want to feel them dance on my tastebuds
as they turn soft and muted
until the very last sprinkle of color
is replaced by the stars
and the sun retreats for the evening.
