The game is not really about the game at all
The game is about the red bow
The game is about the sunflower seeds spit back into the earth
The game is about the ease you feel
While gliding your fingers over the stitches
The game is about diving into the dirt
And letting it engulf you
The game is about random bruises
The game is about the grass stained pants
The game is about stomping feet and cheers
The game is about slowing down
Making every pitch
Every swing
Every catch
